Description: The secret to good writing–and to getting published–is structure. Figure out your structure and the article or essay will practically write itself. In this morning workshop, Structure Queen Laura Fraser is going to demystify how you organize–or reorganize–a story. Beyond understanding what makes a compelling beginning and end, what do you do with the vast middle of an article? How do you create a clear and cohesive piece out of a mountain of research, quotes and notes? How do you work your way up to an epiphany in an essay? You will leave this workshop with a secret about structure and editing that will change your writing forever.
If you think structure sounds boring and difficult, think again. Not only will Laura bring her sense of humor, she will bring bagels and coffee.
