Description: Each week in this in-depth short story workshop, we’ll give comprehensive feedback on two student stories handed out at the previous class.  Students will get an hour of discussion on their story and receive margin comments and a feedback note from classmates and the instructor.  Topics will be discussed as they come up in relation to the work (such as pacing, setting, voice, believability, use of flashback, etc.), but this is not a lecture class – it’s a hands-on workshop designed to help students generate new work and get thoughtful insights and responses as they bring their stories to final drafts. This class is open to students who have taken “The Pang in Your Heart” Short Story Intensive at the Grotto, or by application with a writing sample. Ideal for intermediate to advanced students. Contact instructor with any questions.
