**NEW DATES** THURSDAYS, NOV. 4th & NOV. 11th  | Do you have an essay draft that’s almost there, or one that keeps getting rejected that could use some expert feedback? Need a supportive group to nudge you over the finish line and actually send your work out? This personal essay “clinic” will help you finetune your draft for submission and identify potential outlets for publication.

We will discuss types of essays; common submission tools; where to submit; developing a submission strategy; and how to deal with rejection. Participants will also share tips and experiences with each other and leave with a targeted list of publications to submit to.

This class is ideal for writers who have already taken a craft course or have some experience writing; no publication experience required. Participants must have an essay draft up to 2,500 words written before the class begins (memoir and creative nonfiction also accepted). The class will meet twice and each participant will receive written comments from the instructor on their essay draft.

This class includes one-on-one feedback on an essay up to 2,500 words.

Scheduled class sessions will take place via Zoom. Registered students, please contact the instructor directly for Zoom details.
